Collaboration at the U with a lab trying to develop a method for reconstructing accurate images from fiberoptics implanted deep in mouse brains.

Small paper showing that nucleoli in CA1 of human samples have a lower prevalence of PARP-1 than expected early in AD pathology. PARP-1 is cononically known for its DNA repair, but I'm particularly interested in it for its role in ribosome biogenesis.

Major part of my thesis work showing that new ribosomes are necessary for new memories. We also show that only one of the 5 variants of the RNA component of ribosomes is upregulated after learning.
My first paper (!), and my intro to primary cell culture. Played a small part showing that new ribosomes (and the nuclear region where ribosomes are made) are necessary to maintain chemically induced LTP.
